A 1950's Christmas

Each image links to the item's listing.

It is entirely possible that I have been watching too much Mad Men but this looks like one fun Christmas party to me.

Carmen and Ginger, the seller of the gorgeous necklace, is donating 10% of their profits from the sale of Christmas items to The Forgotten Cat, an organization that helps feral cats. That's a cause I definitely support :)

A Folk Art Christmas

Each image links to the etsy listing.

I think folk art and Christmastime are a perfect match! Red and green folk art looks classic rather than tacky. It is so homey and traditional and there are tons of great vintage finds on etsy as well as some cool newly created items.

Buy Handmade!

I love buying handmade. It is such a great feeling to know that your money is going straight into the hands of another artist instead of to a big company. Personally almost all the money I have made through my etsy shops has gone straight to other etsy sellers. Last Christmas I tried to buy some handmade Christmas gifts but this year I plan to put a lot of effort into making sure that as many gifts as I can manage are made by fellow artists. Support artists and take the Handmade Pledge : BuyHandmade.org/
